The coverage was very poor compared to the brilliant London Open earlier this year. The final started 75 minutes late, and they were still adjusting the board and peripheral equipment to fit the picture into the First game! It was very disappointing to not have commentary as well, if backgammon has any future as a spectator sport insightful commentary is simply needed to create interest.

The London Open got it spot on, great commentary with live comments from online spectators which were integrated into discussion, that's exactly what's needed to create interest in backgammon. To start 75 minutes late screams amateur hour that would certainly not be tolerated in the world championship of any other game/sport
