I really see three candidates: the DMP move 16/14 10/7, the pure gammon save move 16/13 8/6, and the middling move 16/11. I chose the latter, but I don't any strong feelings about it. Sometimes such middling moves are best, and sometimes they are clearly wrong. I don't think there is any significant difference in equity between these here, but I'm not a big fan of 16/13 8/6. This move indicates to me we are ready to resign already, and this is just the wrong mindset for backgammon. I would be OK with either 16/14 10/7 or 16/11.
