Streaming Matches - Optional?

Pls explain why it is a right to refuse to be streamed.
I can understand that if a player is trying to preserve a reputation as a strong player which he cannot sustain if his match is recorded, then it is nice not to be streamed. But is it a right?
I don't buy that it is a distraction. If it is a distraction, then at least it is the same for both players.
I think it should be part of the deal if you go to tournaments that the TD can say your match will be streamed. Imagine the situation where everybody refuses to have their matches streamed, how would that help backgammon grow?
