Streaming Matches - Optional?

If a player doesn't like to be streamed, then the potential risk that he might receive a streaming request from the TD will count as a negative thing when he is considering whether to attend or not. If he actually stops attending tournaments because he doesn't want to be streamed, then I think he might have found other reasons to quit regardless. Having an occasional match streamed is really not a big deal.
If my imagined situation is far from true, then I believe the answer to my retorical question might not be very relevant.
Streaming matches is unlikely to bring new players to the game as I imagine very few non-backgammon players are watching. But the streams might bring some semi-retired players back when they see all the fun they are missing out on. That might help grow attendance in future tournaments. In any case, streaming matches is a big plus for the backgammon community as it enables others to follow the action from a distance which for me is a big plus.
Why am I left with a feeling that all your questions are intended to ridicule my post and show how stupid it is?
Why not address the main point of my post: how/why does a player have a right to refuse to be recorded? I don't get that part. I think it should be (and will become) standard operating procedure in future tournaments that players might be requested to have their matches streamed. Getting a stream request from the TD, in my opinion, should be seen as a flattering gesture, rather than something negative. Players should be flattered that the TD finds their game so interesing that he is willing to spend time/resources to stream it for the BG world to follow.
