Worst Superbowl Call - OT

They had three wide-outs in the game. Not ideal for running. If they were going to attempt a running play, they might need to call a TO and change personnel. But, if they did that and scored on the first play, the Pats would have too much time to attempt the tying field goal. The more I think about it, the more I think, far from a bonehead call, it was a very smart call. They guaranteed themselves the option of two running plays and ran the clock down to the minimum.
By the way, I, at first, thought it was a terrible call to not run. When I thought about it, it all made sense. And, I thought it was terrible of Bellichik to not call a TO to give the Pats a chance to respond. I thought it may have been right to call a TO and let the Seahawks score, giving them a lot of time to respond. I think Bellichik did not call a TO because he did not want to let Seattle change personnel. I think if either coach erred in his decision making, it was Bellichik.
