Is this how it works?

I think I understand how these settings effect an individual play (but not sure). Is this it?
1) Each player has (as in Standard Bronstein settings) a fixed free time interval per move turn, and a reserve time per match (or per game if $-play).
Any extra free time per move is lost after a play is completed. Any reserve time used is also lost.
2) At the end of a move, a bonus increment is added to the player's banked reserve time.
Thought experiment. Let's set up two clocks, both with the same reserve time (make it 10 minutes for a 5-point match). One clock is set for 12 free seconds per move, no bonus, and the other is set for 9 free seconds per move with a 3 point (post-play) bonus.
Case a) a players turn last 12 s or more. In both cases the end result (assuming time doesn't expire during the play....) is the same. One clock used 9s free, N seconds of reserve and got 3 seconds returned (so N-3 seconds were lost from the reserve). The other clock used 12 s free and N-3 seconds of reserve.
Case b) a player's turn takes either 10s or 11 s. The clock with the bonus time increments the reserve time by 2s or 1s. The clock without the bonus loses no reserve time but gains no bonus.
Case c) A players uses no more than 9s of his free time. On one clock the reserve time is incremented by 3s. The other gets no change to reserve time.
