Actually, once the statement is qualified as a rule of thumb, "always" is acceptable, with the understanding that it's a RULE OF THUMB and isn't "always" going to be right. I didn't say it was a self-evident truth like "ALL men are created equal" (which, by the way, apparently wasn't even a good rule of thumb since we could come up with hundreds of thousands of wrong examples even as it was being written. There's my 4th of July plug). And yes, I did mean "at 11 and 12 pips". And the "always" in that phrase refers to the double decision when the doubler has 12 pips or less. That was its full intent when written. I was not clear enough in stating that, but I didn't consider myself to be writing a legally binding document. It was a quick attempt to answer Phil's question, of which that was just one part.
