How can you tell if you're playing a bot online?

An excellent list, Dave.

When I played a bunch of +equity 1-point tournaments at BGMasters, (a couple years ago), I would run into lots of 'players' that would lose connection to the game, and NEVER return to complete the game. Sometimes the connection would happen as early as the 2nd roll, and once it happened on the next to last move when the 'player' was certain to win. I was pretty well convinced these were bots that knew how to start the game but were never programmed to resume if the game was interrupted.
