Turing test

The Turing Test is a test for Artificial Intelligence first posed by Computer Science pioneer Alan Turing (who just passed away btw). In essence, the idea is to have testers engage in a one-on-one conversation via a standard computer interface with various unknown remote "players" that are either real humans or the software being tested. The software is considered to pass the Turing Test if the testers cannot distinguish which conversations were with humans and which were with the AI software.
