Sad Problem in Florida

There are too many Neal's around, so I will simply abbreviate here. NW & NGR.

NW - Lessons learned. We all have to learn them, and its rarely done the easy way. I too am a relative newcomer to tournament directing. My lessons learned (among so many others) are to always have published specific rules and guidelines not only for the players but for tournament staff too. It is sometimes surprising how many of these you should have, but nevertheless, you can never have enough. Even things like LJP eligibility need them. Best of luck with Florida 2014.

Personally, I am totally on board with Lucky entering the LJP, and would have ruled in the same way, as would any eligibility committee gathered to assess and rule.

NGR - Petulance is unbecoming through all phases of life, especially adulthood. Additionally, looking through the ABT tournament results, you appear to have won a number of Intermediate Consolations, a number of 2nd places, and many many side events throughout the years. Should you decide to come to the Wisconsin ABT event in 2014 then I will be insisting that you play in the Open division. It is a little surprising that you werent playing in the Open in Florida.

Lucky - I am sorry that someone dragged you through this crap!

In general, without having ever met NGR (I apologize, I dont recall if I did), judging by what I have seen and read, I find this entire thing ridiculous, and am a little saddened by the amount of attention that this has received.
