The most important point is the 9 point and it seems positionally correct to put a checker there right away with 12/9. However, this may give White the best chance of eventually establishing an outpost on the 9 point or 10 point.
Therefore, I like the patient 24/21 which makes White's 4's play even more awkwardly. With 54, it's just open season.
