Yes. If my memory isn't completely shot, the quickie-type events got started in the early 90s with the moniker "Parlay From Hell", and they were all 1-pointers. For me, the whole purpose of this type of event is negated when playing an opponent who gives any thought to the cube at all. When I do enter a supposed 2-point event, I always cube at my first opportunity. Period.
