Hand-recording matches

1. The transcription process is visually irritating and is putting him off his stride.
Carter's face puts me off my stride, wonder if I can get the next TD to make him wear a full blown unabomber outfit.
2. The transcriber might be using the capacity to write notes as a mechanism to illegally assist his game, by, for example, keeping a running pip count tally.
It seems totally ridiculous to me we're even discussing this for a couple of reasons. First off, how hard would it be for the opponent to say "hey, Mr. TD, what's this?" Busted. It would be harder for someone to keep a running pip count on paper on a clock than to actually do it at the time of the position or keep a running count from the start of the game. In fact, I implore any of my opponents who play me during a clocked match to feel free to keep a running pip count while they record the match. Good luck to you.
I'd love to see how an opponent sneaks figuring out match equities and decisions onto his paper. What, inbetween turns (when one would normally record the rolls/plays) he happens to take a looooooong time to note the dice roll and play? Or when he gets cubed does it take him 2 minutes to write down "D" on the paper? Come on ... wish I could open up a common sense shop and sell bags of it off at a nickel a pop, I'd be the richest man since Jed Mathews.
Here's a better idea for all the people who need to cheat for match equities. Wait til you get to the appropriate score, save your restroom break, go to the bathroom and revise the notes you saved on your Iphone, k? Or, if you're like me and listen to music, you can just scroll though it and people will think you're changing your music when in actually you've got the gammon values and take points on the screen and they're oblivious! Mwahahahah.
