The position below is reminiscent of problem 12-1 in Magriel's Backgammon, as corrected by problem 52 in Classic Backgammon Revisited (although be sure to read the solution in the second, rather than the first edition). So now you are well prepared to tackle the position below.

What do you play? Okay, we can all get that from XG, so the important question is...why?
