For the first position, I would try 24/22 6/1. 24/22 seems to give us the best chance of advancing our anchor; 23/21 steps up to the edge of the prime and leaves only one blot but White will usually be happy to point on us and/or make the back of her prime so I don't think that 23/21 accomplishes that much. The three blots that 24/22 leaves are not really in that much danger, I think, because White's plan is to prime rather than to attack. As for 6/1, making the ace point isn't so bad since we're certainly not going to be winning a priming battle. The alternative is to bring a checker into our board in order to start killing our large numbers, but both 9/4 and 8/3 look awkward to me.

Not sure I'm interested in doing the calculations for the cube action. Maybe later.
