Bots make irrational plays to the human eye when the difference in equity is marginally tied. It usually happens when its equity is 1 or 0 and this is such a case. Therefore, it could be that the bot would play the next 21 by 3/2, 3/1 (or some other sequence that it doesn't bear off 2 checkers in the next few rolls), and gives Stick an epsilon probability (positive but very close to zero) to win the game. From this point just create the perfect sequence to make it happen.
