I see the discussion of which events that should (not) qualify as a grand slam event has started. To cut that discussion short, what about instead just deciding how many events that should be included as major events. Seems to already be a consensus at 4 - 6 events in order to not dilute the thing. Then one could simply say that the 4-6 largest (however it is defined) events in one given year become major events next year. Just my $0.02.
