It's time we had our own "Grand Slam"

I like the idea, Phil... The first step is making a unified world federation. The danish, US and Japanese are the three biggest. But in other countries they have some sizable federations too... UK is regrouping as we speak, the greek, the croatian, the turkish, norweigian and swedish... And Germany has fractions too.

This unified world backgammon federation, would implement the same rating system world wide, so that every single match you play in a tournament, where ever in the world it might be, will be ratet.

In this federation, the "Grand Slams" or official tournaments could be selected. And there is plenty of room for "unofficial" masters tournaments, like the big tournament recently held in Cyprus.
