Nack came up with this sequence. He describes it as, “A useful reference position. U (Up, bar/18) and D (Down, bar/24 13/7) are essentially tied.”

Although no doublets were in rolled in arriving at this position, it can be grouped with the third-roll positions in this thread where the opponent has played 44P on the second roll. The rule of thumb for such positions advises that it is usually wrong to break you anchor. One of the exceptions after 44P occurs when playing down from the midpoint would force you to expose a blot to a direct shot (on your bar point).
