" In positions where you have an anchor, you just build up your board/prime and wait for a shot or for an escaping double. Pretty hard to make a blunder in these kind of positions."

If the race is close enough that you will want to run with an escaping double you really aren't much of a dog so I wonder if this situation is really a good one to support your argument. It is probably hard for you to blunder but many blunder with a leave the anchor decision.

If it is a holding game down a lot in the race or an outright backgame that player probably some tough plays before then about what points to try to hold and may have had some tough leaving blots for timing plays. After a hit the play is often tougher for the backgame player. I accept your other considerations though that bearing in against an anchor is likely harder for the attacker especially if trap plays are an issue.

There are other ways one may be dog in a game. Losing a race the checker plays will be about the same. Missing a cube by one pip is less of an error than missing a take decision by one pip but the leader has potential for repeated errors. He might rack some additional decisions though.

If one gets blitzed and gets closed out then the attacking player often gets a bunch of very easy decisions while the trailer gets none at all.

On a closeout the closed out player gets no decisions while the leader usually has very easy decisions.

"When the trailer doubles you with g chances, how much above the normal do you need to adjust your tp to account for the trailers (usually) higher gv and for your severely limited cube vig"

The exact same conditions mean that the trailers decision about when to cube will be more difficult. This comment also applies to your point about doubling against a low take point. The trailer will also then have a take decision which is unlike money play and the trailer's doubles are also a bit different.

I accept the argument about TG positions.

Let's consider late scores such as 2a - 4a, 2a - 5a, 3a - 5a. Here the trailer is more likely to be cubing than the leader and at these scores it usually is a double in so take will often be clear. But exactly when to cube may be more difficult and also could lead to a very PR harmful repeating error.
