You have listed some very excellent reasons why it is harder to play live and I agree with nearly every one of them.

I would say the biggest three reasons are:

(1) Clocked matches. While I highly prefer them, do not allow the mathematically inclined time to fully analyze many positions and cube decisions;

(2) Pip count. Even if you are very fast at counting pips, you might miss a cube at times in a non-racing position because you don't count, not SEEING your lead is sufficient to compensate for other liabilities.

(3)Fatigue/stress. You can put a lot of stress on your body/mind: travel; time zone changes; unfamiliar bed; all-day (all-weekend) playing resulting in mental fatigue, etc.

The one reason I do not necessarily agree with is: 'live you alter your cube and checker plays depending upon what you know about your opponent's cube and checker plays'. This depends upon your knowledge of your opponents. If you are talking about local live events, you could having significant knowledge about them. But, if you are talking about national/regional live events I would think there would be very little difference between that and online play.
