... to address what you said I assume you're also good if...

you set up the board wrong and I don't alert you to it?

If I don't catch it within the number of moves specified in the rule set in force, then yes, I'm good. I should be more careful next time.

If you put your own checker on the bar that's cool?

I'm good. I should be more careful next time. Sometimes experience is the best teacher.

If you double me but forget to hit the clock you don't mind if I contemplate my tough take decision as long as possible?

I'm good. Maybe I should be more careful. Sometimes I have to learn the hard way.

You wrote the score down wrong suffer that punishment for not double checking.

You mean I didn't double-check the score with you between games like the rules say I'm supposed to? Then I guess that's my bad. Hopefully I'll learn my lesson.

You thought we were playing to the wrong score and shook my hand? Sounds like a match win to me.

From Bill Davis's rule set, section 4.9: Players are responsible for playing to the posted match length. The first player to reach the posted match length is the winner..

It doesn't say that the first player to receive a handshake from his opponent is the winner. Sit down and finish the match. Now, if I fail to notice this and you report the win and either of us begins our next match, well, then, again, boy am I wearing the dunce cap today. My bad.

You tried to recube even though you could already win the match with the stakes that the cube was on with it on your side? Take and recube!

Hmm... maybe I should pay more attention to my math lessons from Dr. Koca and Dr. Lee. They keep telling me that if I am holding the cube, and p + c >= m where p is my current score in points, and c is the current value of the cube, and m is the match length, then maybe I ought not to recube. When am I ever going to learn? Maybe if I can't grasp this equation they'll let me back into the Advanced division. My bad.
