In Response To: potential swiss rules modification (Chuck Bower)

First, clocks should solve most time consideration problems.

Second, why can't bye's not count at all, but a player's ranking at any given time is based on his winning percentage? I know that exaggerates a player who wins and gets a bye or loses or gets a bye, but that's only for one round, and assuming the byes rotate and nobody gets two byes (unless everyone else has gotten one) this should play out fairly.
