Shaking with the baffle box

Years ago, in LA, when they had really inferior baffle boxes, it was proven that you could set the dice and get predictable rolls through the baffle box. So they always required people use cups and shake as well.
Old habits die hard, and there are still people who believe that today, with my new and improved baffle boxes, it might be possible to fix the dice, so those people are simply more comfortable requiring cups and shaking, or at least using cups so you can't easily "set" the dice.
When I play with people who insist on, or even prefer the use of cups with the baffle box, I always agree simply to make them happy...I am just glad we are using the box. But it is totally unnecessary with the new baffle boxes, particularly my new product which we call a Dice Scrambler to differentiate it from a "baffle box" as it doesn't have traditional baffles, but rods that make sure the dice get tumbled excessively.
Our new dice scrambler is not only better, looks cool, is extremely easy to assemble (compared to my older versions), but it also has two other advantages.
1. It costs less...sells for only $50 (plus shipping); 2. It has grooves on the bottom so that it fits perfectly into a P40 board.
Now, if you don't have a P40, it still sits nicely on most other boards and the grooves will generally help. And if you do have a board where the grooves don't quite fit, you can try some other means to stabilize the box on your board.
The bad news is we are not in full production yet on the new scrambler and hope to have it ready for shipping in the next few weeks.
You can order at www.p40bg.com. Of course, you will also be able to order a customized backgammon board, and I don't believe any new backgammon board has sold more in it's first month of production in the history of the game, and sales continue to come in because it is an amazing board at any price, but for under $1000 you can't beat it.
