Hi Nack,

the CPU in first HP seems really slow - it's rated only 2685 @ cpubechmark.net

For about 600$ in Europe one can get 15.6'' SSD laptop with CPU rated @ close to 5000.

Cpubenchmark's rating seems to correspond to XG's speed 1:1, so I think you should look for a CPU close to this 5000 mark in the $$ range you gave.

The i7-7500U on the second HP is 5249, so a good one.
