I think the reason the 9 point is so strong is that most 5's play really badly and 66 is horrible too, as are 61 and 62. Not all 4s play well either but say he rolls 41 then you can attack his blot. Hitting on the other hand allows Black to return hit and leaves the 66 joker available after entering
