Another kind of compensation must occur for your airplane to still be sitting on the runway. The airplane's engines create thrust, a force pushing the plane forward. If the engines are creating thrust and the airplane is not moving forward, some other force must be counteracting that force. Where might that counteracting force come from? Not from the conveyor belt. All the conveyor belt's motion is doing is making the airplane's wheels spin faster.
