USBGF master/lifetime point system

By ratings I do mean elo.

Yes, for top players it would reduce demand for master/lifetime points to some degree. However, if actual USBGF titles were given out based only on master/lifetime points, I think there are still enough top players who would like to achieve named titles.... Would you rather be "Bob Koca, who reached a top rating of ___" or "Bob Koca, Lifetime Grandmaster". I'm sure neither you not I, were we to continue playing for the next 10+ years, would have any difficulty getting enough points to qualify, so it's really about what's sounds nicer. And I bet if it meant you needing to enter another 5 or 6 side events (on average) over the course of each year, you'd probably just say "the hell with it, why not".

However, lifetime/master point titles and levels should all come with some requirement for some % of points to come from non-main/jackpot events, causing the Pros to necessarily participate in some of the other events. Perhaps a specific ProAm doubles requirement too.

For Am players... It should greatly increase demand.
