"John kindly dropped the risk reward figures onto the page. It would be interesting to know how he arrived at these over the table."
You're leading 4-0 to 7, own a 2-cube, and are thinking about redoubling in a last roll position. The minimum doubling point is risk/risk+gain.
Don't redouble and lose makes the score 4-2 with 65% MWC. Do redouble and lose ties the score at 4-4 with 50% MWC.
So the risk is 15%.
Now the gain.
Don't redouble and win makes it 6-0 Crawford with 91% MWC. Do redouble and win wins the match with 100% MWC.
The gain is then 9%.
So the min redoubling point is 15/15+9.
