How strange. I would have bet my house that backgammon was more popular in the west than GO but there are several good English GO servers and apps. I may be better off sticking to recreational play in person then. The variants are more fun anyway. I absolutely love Acey Deucey and Russian because there is no preset board position and the game strategy is so flexible and varied.
