This is relatively straightforward. A legal play was made, therefore it stands.

Technically, the other player could realize the error, and resign the match at that point - prior to rolling.

Practically speaking, the match is over, and both players should have acknowledged it. Also, I would have resigned the match myself before allowing player A to roll, so it wouldnt happen to me. Even if it did, I would forfeit the match in order to make sure that the right result occurred. Of course, it is player B that is saying he wins, so thats not the same as me at all.
