And similarly there may be huge difference between being 9.99 minutes late and 10 minutes late. To be fair a linear model of equity loss should be used and there should be starting positions defined to fill in the gaps. For example If 5 minutes late is just a single penalty point. If 5.2 minutes late one penalty point and opponent gets first roll but no double, 5.4 minutes late is one penalty point and opponent gets first roll with doubles allowed. 9.9 minutes late should just be short of 2 penalty points. Maybe something like 1 penalty point and then play a DMP game with opponent allowed a certain number of rerolls or roll cancellations.
