There are many things you would do differently if your sole goal is to play with a lower PR. Some follow.
1) In a real match you would use more clock time when cube gets high but in PR match the high cube games are not more important.
2) You will sometimes make plays to get more decisions:
a) If it is a very small pass for a long race probably better for PR to take. Similarly if think that is very small no double probably better to cube.
b) At odd away 1 away post Crawford delay the double. Even if there is an unlikely small market loss it could be better for PR.
c) Suppose you have a gin race. You could make a move that slows you down enough to maybe give you a real decision in the future but while keeping race gin.
d) Leaving a checker on ace and on two point is better for PR than leaving a checker on the 3 point. If you get a roll with a 1 you have a decision in the first case but not the second.
