Median vs. Arithmetic Mean

The median is what I would use too if I had limited data. However, with a larger number of games/matches, I think that the outliers are an important feature. Especially for stronger players, outliers can make a noticeable difference to the mean, and I think that it's important to keep these in the equation rather than to dismiss them as anomalies.
