Agreed. However, knowing when to apply this stuff is also critical too. For example, if I know my opponent is sitting watching me sweat over a position, and think I may drop an incoming cube, I may choose to play it up to encourage it.

Also, there's the whole question of gamesmanship. Sitting thinking about a cube is one thing, sitting thinking 'I wonder if ive stared at this long enough for my opponent to talk himself into taking' is entirely another.

It happens. Hence my original statement that it takes a very very good player to be able to make use of these.
