Good Practice Provisions for Blind or Visually Impaired Players

If at any time during the game it is discovered by either player that an illegal move was made, the player has the right to require the game to be restarted from the point just before the illegal move was made.
This one is considerably disparate from the typical rules (that I'm aware of) and I wonder if it is overdoing things. It puts *all* the burden of ensuring legal moves are made on the shoulders of the blind player's opponent compared to the shared responsibility in a typical match.
As many have mentioned, an assistant or match monitor would alleviate this asymmetry although I understand such isn't always possible.
BTW, did you get input from blind people? Having been around people with less than 5 senses (no, I'm not including Stick), I've noticed there can actually be advantages (local, not global).
