Phil, you make valid points, but we are looking at things from different angles. I am mostly concerned about real cheaters. Those cheaters that will think, "by all means correct my mistakes all you want, but I will not correct your mistake when it suits me" I am not saying ABT rules are good or even better. Your post mostly indicates that you concerned with how honest players play the game. It is true there are more good guys than bad guys, but the damage done by two groups is not the same. You czn make an agreement to play by Legal Plays with an honest guy, but playing with a cheater by this rulles is sama as putting ourself at a bigger dissadvantage. I am not saying that ABT rules solve the problem or even better than Legal Plays. But I feel like if we are going to make a change, let's change it to something that will work. Legal Plays rule has good foundation, but by itself it does not protect good guys from bad actors. Perhaps, Legal Plays together with penalties will work. But, by itself, ... I just don't see it.
