Legal Moves - Potential Problem after Illegal Move.

In Response To: Legal Moves - Back to the Future ABT Rule 4.8 (Bill Finneran)

Consider the situation where a player makes several illegal moves and allows the opponent to correct the plays rather than enter into discussion, such that by "custom and practice" this has in effect become an unofficial gentleman's agreement between the players. If the player making the illegal move decides that he does not agree with the correction, AFTER his opponent rolls the dice, is it right to insist that this roll now stands, because the player may now rectify the illegal move with the full knowledge of what will be rolled next, accordingly choosing the optimal play which may not be the normal best equity play where the dice are random.
