This method, with the adjustable final length, should very rarely take longer than playing an 11 point semifinal and a 13 point final and will often be much quicker because the first match is shortened, the second match is likely to have aggressive cube action by the player down 0-3, and the tournament is over if the loser of match one wins match two, which occurs 33.8% of the time.
