Airplane On a Conveyor Belt

I guess you people don't work at the tire company?
:-)
If the plane is to take off, it should be able to lift at a speed half the maximum speed that the tires can run.
I don't know what safety margin they usually put into this equation (max. tire speed compared to lift speed), but I suspect that it's not double up...
BTW: If yo ugo into details, the movement of the conveyor belt will generate some airflow as well (depending on the surface of the belt) :-)
Some formula one racing teams are using an air tunnel for development, that features a moving belt just like this, to make sure they get the proper analysis including the airflow caused by the ground passing under the car, and the spinning front wheels.
