Defending vs. a 1/3 backgame

It is not clear that hitting helps the opponent's timing. If the hit checker enters on the 22 point and he is able to roll a quick 6, then it helps for sure.

If the opponent dances a couple of turns, then it also helps his timing.

In other scenarios it will remove 8 spare pips from the opponent's reservoir of spare pips.
