It should be pretty clear that this position is a pass. The harder question is whether we are too good. I don't have a similar reference position to estimate the percentage of gammon wins; so once the rollouts are posted it may become one such for me.

I've already seen somewhere the reasoning that backgames are strong because it usually goes from ND to D/P with hardly an effective cube turn in between, but the problem with this reasoning is that the cube might have been turned a long time ago before the game transformed into a well-timed backgame.
