94-97% cube efficiency is extremely high. With this level of efficiency you could take in a race with as little as 20.1 or 20.2%. Nothing comes close to this in long races which are probably amongst the least volatile of positions. Taking things to extremes, if the single checker vs single checker race model is considered with a race of 346-347 pips vs 375 pips (obviously purely theoretical), the take point is about 20.9% consistent with cube efficiency of 77-78%. A cube efficiency value of 94-97% is virtually equivalent to a live a cube, where there are effectively no market losers at any point. The backgame position cannot really be that good, considering the fact that normally it will be neccessary to close the opponent out and start bearing off checkers before recubing, or alternatively send a second checker back - both situations where it is perfectly possible to lose one's market. I think 80% efficiency would be very high in the given position and probably over-optimistic.
