Chuck, could you go over how you squeezed an 82% out of Kleinman?

Raw pipcount is 51::57. I give no adjustment to White's 57. For Blue: extra five checkers off (but odd remain) -- subtract (4*2 + 1 = ) 9. Four empty points -- add 4*1. Empty 4-point -- add another 2. So Blue's adjusted count is 51 - 9 + 4 + 2 = 48. KC is (57 - 48 + 4)^2 / (57 + 48 - 4) = 13^2/101 = 169/101 ~1.7 which is halfway (i.e. interpolated) between 80% (KC = 1.4) and 84% (KC = 2.0).

The adjustment for empty 4-point may be (probably is) better calculated by looking at the number of checkers on points higher than the 4-pt (9) and the number of checkers on points where 4's will go (2-, and maybe 1-points). But that's a research project unto itself. And this is really a problem better suited to Trice, anyway.
