That cube action in the game 3 is just a misevaluation of mine. I knew it was a super easy take for money and thought it was still a take at 3a-9a against unequalled opponent.
If I had known that it have been such a tiny take I would have dropped for sure.

You talked lot about low PR by playing agressively. I simply think that if I have easier decisions than my opponent, compare to decisions in the new next game, this is the game I want to play.
It will push me double more often and take more often than normal. Of course "the opponent factor" should be in the equation ALL the time.

I really don't understand why some people look me as if I always try to create low PR? Maybe because I always record and post PR?
Recording is just for finding my errors. Let me show you a recent example.

This happend in the 2nd set of IBC tournament. Experience from the 1st set I already knew he was no good. (he was PR of 10.) In the position above he gave me 8 cube when he was down 0-1/11p.
I dropped the cube even though I knew it was super easy take. This is no brainer to play out and didn't want to put 8 point on the line.

Sure enough, in the very next game he gave me a very bad cube. I took and won 8. This particular match I played 5, he played 20.
All watchers screamed about my drop and later on people see I played 5.
So what? I know what is going on.

I also play tons of long matches. In Japan we play 25p match league. I adjust the cube depends on followings. Not really related to the length of the match.

My opponent's skill level

Difficulties of the actual position

Remaining time in the clock

You can assess your opponent by their face, name, how they move in the first few moves, when they spend time, how they react the cube etc.
Obviously I look carefuly what my opponent does over the board. Everything matters in backgammon.

By the way I don't play against XG. I will play human when I need a practice.
