I know you weren't referring to baffle boxes; if you reread my post you should see this, though apologies if it could have been written more clearly.

I must say that I find it very heartening to read a TD state such opinions as you do here. I particularly like your idea of reiterating to players, just before a tournament, of basic legal requirements and courtesies. Of course, there might be those who would consider such reminders patronising, but such niceties are sadly ignored by a significant minority of players.
