Nice post, Phil.

Here's what I would do regarding Final 16 and LC and assuming the full 128.

There are 112 players outside of the final 16. They can play one rd of the LC and get down to 56. These 56 can then be joined by the 8 losers in the rd of 16. These losers don't win a prize but at least get a bye into the 2nd rd of the LC creating a perfect bracket of 64.

Once again I strongly feel that the final 8 in the main should be paid.
