Field size.

In Response To: Pari-Mutuel announced (Phil Simborg)

Size may not actually be any problem (despite what my ex-wife claimed), but including the entire field in the division could get unwieldy. Keeping track of, and causing weird diluted or absurdly large payouts. Not to mention the dark horse that nobody bet on winning. May I suggest the possibility of shrinking the field? Choose 15 players and make the "race" between them? The winner being the one who got the farthest. I could be smoking crack on this, but my experience from horse racing suggests that beyond a field of about 15 it gets whacky.
