Certainly there were confessions associated with certain activities in the prior circumstance you noted. In that case, as I recall, personal definitions of 'cheating' were required. In the minds of many there was, unquestionably, fraud and an absence of morals and ethics involved. Did it rise to the level of cheating? I would imagine almost all of those who unknowingly lost money to bots posing as humans would resoundingly say yes.
