of course clocks should be used in all tournaments. In chess one of the reasons for delays & increments is to allow time to record the moves. Even in some chess tourneys this has gotten out of hand. Back to backgammon, a 12 second delay!! really?? with practice we could all play a decent game on just the delay. Let s be adults, no delay: if your time runs out you loose the match plain & simple While we are at can any one give me a good reason why backgammon is not "touchmove"? Just like chess. How about alternating the first roll , after tehfirst game to reduc ethe luck factor. Naturally, no doubles can be played!
